how do I file online with a power of attorney?

jaime s asked:

I just filed with Taxslayer and my husband is overseas so I have power of attorney papers. I have to send in a signed form 8453-ol to the IRS. It has to have both of our signatures. But He isnt here to sign for it so do i just sign my name and write POA on his line and a copy of the paperwork to them. I know i dont have to file right now but im expecting a baby in a month and could use the return now. Any help would be great.

My husband owed about $1800.00, The irs kept his tax return last year 1625.00, but now say he owes over 3000.00 now. We live in Georgia, do we need an attorney or what to resolve this without having to pay all the fees and interest

I know the path to becoming either of these professionals differ.

However, is the legal aspect only factor that separates the two professions? Which would have the most expertise on tax?

Do tax lawyers make more than tax accountants?

Do they perform similar job duties?
